This report offers details on the training program designed and carried out by the FIWARE Mexico project. The training program aims to transfer the FIWARE technology know-how from relevant European to Mexican stakeholders. There are three aspects of the program: training Mexican FIWARE trainers; training a network of developers and integrators; and training hardware and software contributors. It is important to increase the amount of training resources available in order to grow the community interested in FIWARE in Mexico.
The input paper from the FIWARE R&E WG describes the current FIWARE adoption scenario in Mexico. It asseses technology policy, regulation and next generation infrastructures; reviews ICT strategic trends in a FIWARE and Mexico context; presents the adoption activities carried out by the R&E WG; and presents a series of recommendations for key stakeholders in Mexico to enhance research collaboration in FIWARE technologies.
Open FIWARE Camps are a crucial activity to FIWARE adoption because they help identify challenges for FIWARE cooperation between Mexico and Europe, stimulate innovation partnerships and generate stakeholder engagement. In addition, these camps provide an opportunity to train developers on FIWARE technologies. The Open FIWARE Camp in Mexico gave the FIWARE Mexico team the opportunity to meet with key members of the Mexican R&E community and its associated ICT industry partners.
The Open FIWARE Camp in Europe took place during the FIWARE Global Summit. The event allowed FIWARE Mexico project members to meet and discuss common ICT priorities and define a roadmap for future EU-Mexico collaboration in FIWARE technologies after the project ends. At the event, participants identified and suggested viable solutions to common FIWARE challenges with a specific focus on Smart Cities and Smart Industry.
The report on ICT Priorities in Mexico presents the results of a survey carried out by FIWARE Mexico. The survey aimed to identify priority topics for research cooperation between Mexico and Europe in the areas of ICT and FIWARE. Furthermore, the report provides insights from key stakeholders in Mexico and Europe through in-depth interviews. Findings and interviews suggest good perspectives for future EU-Mexico collaboration in topics of common interest related to ICT and FIWARE.
This report presents the ICT priorities in Mexico in relation to the FIWARE Mundus roadmap and the overall progress of the FIWARE Mexico project. The document is meant to serve as a guide for FIWARE Mexico project partners and for key FIWARE stakeholders. It hopes to help interested parties have a clearer understanding of how to create strng synergies and foster future collborations in the ICT domain between Europe and Mexico.
This policy brief presents the highlights from the Input Paper developed by the FIWARE Research & Education Working Group. The report aims to present the group´s main findings in a consise and useful manner. The topics covered include the current FIWARE adoption landscape in Mexico, ICT strategic trends and milestones and the activities carried out by the Research & Education Working Group to stimulate FIWARE adoption rates in Mexico.
This report describes the activities that were carried out as part of the FIWARE training and engagement plan. The training program for developers, integrators and contributors has joint activities that seek to strengthen the resources available and grow the community interested in learning about FIWARE technologies. This document describes the training approach, the target profile, the training program and the materials generated for developers and integrators.
The White Book presents the state of the FIWARE ecosystem in Mexico, in particular the initiatives launched in Mexico that contribute to the growth of the FIWARE community outside of Europe. Moreover, it presents the results of the training program in FIWARE technologies implemented in Mexico as part of the project work plan, which includes a community of Mexican trainers with the skills and tools to leverage FIWARE´s capabilities, among others.
An initiative to accelerate the market uptake of FIWARE technologies in Mexico, pioneered by the increasing engagement of stakeholders through specialized training of the most up to date FIWARE technologies, Working Groups and Open FIWARE Camps MX-EU.
