FIWARE Mexico at the European Science Diplomacy Week and the EU-Mexico Joint Steering Committee Meeting in S&T.

FIWARE Mexico is proud to announce its close collaboration with the EU Delegation in Mexico and the EU Member States diplomatic missions in Mexico, SmartSDK and FINEXT EU-Mexico co-funded Projects, which have made the European Science Diplomacy Week happen. This flagship event is organised in the framework of the next EU-Mexico Joint Steering Committee (JSC) meeting on science, technology and innovation that will take place on 22 March 2018 in Mexico City.

FIWARE Mexico will present the results of its working groups on research, industry and smart cities in the European Science Diplomacy Week and will provide input and recommendations on ICT priorities and areas of possible cooperation between Europe and Mexico to the Mexico EU Joint Steering Committee.

The EU Delegation in cooperation with the EU Member States diplomatic missions in Mexico,

FIWARE Mexico, SmartSDK and FINEXT EU-Mexico co-funded Projects.

Background of the Activity

The European Union, its Members States and Mexico have developed a strong cooperation relationship in science, technology and innovation, reinforced by bilateral agreements, which resulted in joint research projects and networks, research infrastructure, development of capacities, expert´s mobility, and specific training, among others.

In the framework of the next EU-Mexico Joint Steering Committee (JSC) meeting on science, technology and innovation, that will take place on 22 March 2018 in Mexico City, the EU Delegation in cooperation with the EU Member States diplomatic missions in Mexico and FIWARE Mexico will organise the European Science Diplomacy Week.
