The Research and Education working group involves experts with know-how and experience in FIWARE driven collaboration, including software and hardware engineers and virtual R&E. This working group will identify research communities’ needs to develop innovative FIWARE applications. Two of these communities will be selected as pilot tests where innovative FIWARE applications will be developed to resolve each of the communities’ needs. Interaction between the trained engineers of the technical groups and representatives of the selected communities will be encouraged to foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants in the pilot projects will share their experience in the Open FIWARE Camp. A FIWARE Group will be installed as a permanent Technical WG at CUDI, which will ensure its sustainability.
This working group will deliver an Input Paper, including best practices and recommendations to engage R&E communities in FIWARE. The Industry WG will produce an Input Paper, which will focus on a number of critical concerns that will lead to best practices to engage the industry, including accelerators models, and thereby strengthen Europe and Mexico collaboration in FIWARE.
